Stack, clear lines, and survive as long as you can

About the Game

Tetrominoes โ€” 7 different four-block shapes โ€” fall from the top of a 10ร—20 grid. Rotate and slide each piece to fill complete horizontal lines. When a line is full it clears and you score points. Every 10 lines levels you up and the pieces fall faster. The game ends when a piece stacks above the top of the grid. A faint ghost piece shows exactly where the current piece will land.

Tips
  • Keep the stack as flat as possible โ€” avoid tall towers on one side.
  • Use the ghost piece to plan placement before hard-dropping.
  • Save the long I-piece for a Tetris (4-line clear) for maximum points.
  • Don't leave holes covered by blocks โ€” they're very hard to fix later.
  • Higher levels earn more points per line โ€” push through the speed increases!

About Tetris

Tetris is the legendary falling-block puzzle that has hooked players for decades. Differently shaped pieces called tetrominoes drop from the top of the board, and you rotate and slide them to build solid, gap-free rows.

Complete a full horizontal line and it clears, giving you points and more room to work. The pieces fall faster as you level up, so quick thinking and clean stacking are everything. It is the ultimate test of pattern recognition and nerve.

How to Play Tetris

  1. Pieces fall automatically from the top of the playfield.
  2. Move each piece left or right to position it before it lands.
  3. Rotate pieces to fit them neatly into the stack.
  4. Fill an entire horizontal row to clear it and score points.
  5. Keep the stack low — the game ends when the pieces reach the top.

Winning Tips & Strategy

  • Keep your stack as flat and low as possible to give yourself options.
  • Leave one column open on the side and save your long I-piece for a Tetris.
  • Clear multiple lines at once — a four-line 'Tetris' scores far more than singles.
  • Rotate pieces early so you are never scrambling as they land.
  • Don't panic at higher speeds; place pieces where they fit rather than where you hoped.
